Next Sunday we will be celebrating the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. In addition to our Sung Eucharist at 1030, we will also be celebrating Choral Evensong at 5pm. Please join us for either - or both - our liturgies!

This Sunday is the Fifteenth after Trinity and there will be a sung Eucharist at 1030. The Thames Chamber Choir will sing music by Bruckner and Palestrina. All are welcome! Please join us!

After the August break, life at St James gets back to normal on September 2nd. Our Sung Eucharist for Trinity 14 begins at 1030 and will feature the premiership of a new Mass for St James, composed by Andrew Campling. There is also music from Rutter and Bainton. Please join us!

As is the long custom at St James, the church will be closed throughout August. Our services resume on Sunday, September 2nd, the 14th Sunday after Trinity. Fr Tim is on holiday but in the parish from 19/8 to 1/9.Happy holidays

It's a great privilege for St James to host two livery services this week. The Joiners and Ceilers are with on Tuesday evening, and the Weavers are here on Wednesday morning. We give thanks to God for their work and of all the livery companies associated with St James.

This Sunday, July 15th, is the 7th after Trinity. The celebrant and preacher at our 1030 Sung Eucharist will be our parish priest, Fr Tim Handley. The setting is Ireland in C, and there is music by Handel and Bairstow. Please do join us!

It's a busy day at St James today with two members of our congregation being installed as Master of a livery company.First, Sir Andrew Parmley, our Director of Music, will be installed as Master of Vintners, then later Lynette Stone, one of our churchwardens, will become Master of Parish Clerks. May St James pray for them, and may God richly bless them both in the year ahead!

Dear Friends,In two weeks, we will be celebrating our Patronal Festival at St James. The Patronal Festival is a wonderful occasion for a parish to give thanks and praise for all that has been over the past year, and to look forward to all that yet will be.
