We were delighted to hear the news that our Director of Music and organist, Dr Andrew Parmley, has received a knighthood in the Queen's New Years Honours List. After his successful year as Lord Mayor, a fitting tribute for hard work and dedication. (We're told that we're not to call him Sir!)

We are delighted to announce that the Rev Timothy Handley will be joining us as Priest in Charge later on in the year.Timothy was ordained Deacon in 1996 and Priest in 1997 in the Diocese of Exeter. As is traditional with many City Churches, St James Garlickhythe will be closed during August. If you require emergency pastoral care, please visit St Paul’s Cathedral and ask to speak to a Virger or the duty priest. If you need to contact a churchwarden, please use the contact us form. Services resume on Sunday 4th September.

We are so sad to report that our dearly loved former curate, Rev Eric Griffiths died in March after a long illness. His contribution to the life and ministry of St James was highly valued and we have wonderful memories in the gifts he left us of his warm friendship, guidance and the love of Christ that he shared with us all.
