The Church

We warmly welcome all to with us on Sundays, weekdays and on special occasions.

If you live or work nearby, or are visitors or tourists, and wish to share your joy in times of happiness or to unburden your grief in times of adversity; to give thanks to God for blessings received or to ask for guidance on the path of life; we offer Saint James Garlickhythe as a place of meditation and sanctuary.

All services at St James are conducted according to the Book of Common Prayer (1662) and the Authorised Version of the Bible, often known as the King James Version. Find out more about what we believe.

Special Occasions

If you want to celebrate an important event in your life why not invite your friends and family, colleagues or neighbours to join you at this beautiful and historic parish church.

The full range of services offered cover: Baptisms; Christenings; Confirmations; Blessings; Weddings; Funerals; Memorials; Carol services; and Livery services.

To arrange any of the above, contact us.

Those who are members of the Church of England, who are resident in or whose place of work is within the Parish, or who have habitually attended public worship elsewhere, are invited to apply for enrolment on the Electoral Roll of the parish of St James Garlickhythe.
